I first heard about this on the Leo Laport podcast net@nite it is a TV show called Dexter about a serial killer in Miami. Looks like it is supposed to be a dark comedy. Anyway they let you create a fake newscast that you can send to a friend customized to show that they will be the next victim. Very creepy and will probably be pretty popular as a halloween prank.

Viral campaigns take a long time to gain momentum. People always underestimate what it will take to make something viral and how long it will take to gain momentum. Not even the Evolution of Dance video was an overnight success. It has taken a year to get 60 million views.
